Postnatal Doula

As a postnatal doula my primary focus is to care for you as a new family and help with the transition into life with a new baby. Whether it be holding the baby so you can do some self care, or taking care of the household so you can enjoy your baby bubble, I can help. Some of the things I can offer assistance with are:

-Breastfeeding education and support

-Newborn care, and typical behaviour and development

-Holding baby while you sleep, shower, etc.

-Sibling care and support

-Management of well meaning family and friends

-Postnatal nutrition

-Partner support and respite

-Cooking and meal prep

-Routine household management including:

     -Shopping

     -Dishes

     -Laundry

     -Light housekeeping

     -Pet care

I have experience cooking for various dietary preferences and restrictions and have many recipes that can be adjusted depending on the need. I cook mainly healthy, whole, balanced foods and take particular care to meet the nutritional needs of a birthing person.

My experience of working within a home and within the family dynamics allows me to anticipate and address needs without getting in the way. I approach each family with fresh eyes and non judgment as I believe that there are many right ways to raise a family.
