Birth Doula
Birth Doula Package
As a Birth Doula my primary goal is to help support and empower you to have a positive and loving birth experience. No matter what choices you make for your birth experience, I will be there to support you with evidence based information so that every decision you make is an informed one.
Antenatal Visits
I offer two 3 hour antenatal visits. During these visits we will discuss your expectations and work on developing a birth plan that feels right for you. We will use this time also to discuss our roles and work out logistical details such as contact info, directions, timing and any other pertinent information. I will also be available to answer any questions and address any fears you might be having and to give referrals as needed.
On Call
I will be on call for you for four weeks starting from 38 weeks until 42 weeks of pregnancy. This means that when you go into labor I will make myself immediately available to come and support you. If you should go into labour before or after the on call period, I would do my best to be there to support you but could not guarantee my presence.
Birth Support
As your birth doula I will come to your home to support you during early labor. I will make sure you are comfortable, fed and hydrated and offer techniques to help ease labor. I will be with you during transport to the hospital or birth center or will stay with you in your home. I will be present and supportive for the entire birth process offering physical and emotional support throughout the intensity of labor and delivery. I will stay for the first few hours after the birth to make sure you and your new family are well situated and taken care of.
Postnatal Visit
I offer one postnatal visit. This visit will be to discuss and process the birth, to answer any questions about your birth experience and to get feedback. I will also be able to offer breast feeding support, basic infant care information and offer referrals as needed
Birth Doula Package £1,200
A deposit of £600 is due on contract signing and the total £1,200 is due by the beginning of the on call period. Please speak to me about payment plan options.
